Badass Herstory is a global craftivism project meant to center and uplift the lived experiences of women and non-binary folks.
Essentially, you tell your story on a 12x12 piece of fabric and send it to me.
It's not an easy ask...I know this. It took me a year to do my own.
That said, the submissions will be a part of a huge show at a museum in Philadelphia this fall. If you are inspired by deadlines and you want your story included in the show, then I need your submission by October 15th.
If you are inspired but it's going to take you a year to go through the making process - do that! There will be more shows and more events. There's currently no deadline for the project. Just "inspirational deadlines" based on fun upcoming exhibitions.
I am always here to support and collaborate. I will host a two hour zoom gathering for anyone who would like to participate but needs to talk it out and work through ideas in community or has questions.
