Recalling the abstract female figurines that are some of humanity's earliest art, Stitch Buffalo's "goddess" shape represents nature, abundance, power, and nurturing—and celebrates the flowering of human creativity. During this class, we will take inspiration from work created in the Refugee Women's Workshop at Stitch Buffalo to embroider a small version of the figure that can be used as a patch on clothing, a bag, or any other fabric item.
