This stitch is just so lovely! You can use it as a lone stitch or as a beautiful filler stitch. It creates a stunning pattern when used as a filler stitch. Be aware that the order in which you lay the stitches will have a significant effect on the final look. So while it might take less time to stitch left to right, the final stitch will look different than my example if you do that. Ok here we go!
